INTEREST HIGH FOR NEW HIGHLANDS VILLAGE
Over 60 pre-registered buyers have taken part of a series of ‘hard hat tours’ at Bingara Gorge over the last few weeks to view its newest village, called Highlands.
Situated on a beautiful hillside with breathtaking views to the Razorback Ranges and surrounding countryside the Highlands consists of a very limited first release of just 29 lots, 16 of which were offered only to registered database subscribers for hard hat tours. The lots in the village range from approximately 800sqm to 2000sqm with pricing starting from around $275,000.
Like its Southern Highlands namesake, the Highlands will be a place when completed where the landscape dictates the character of the village, with trees, shrubs and flowers that are a blaze of colour and fragrance in spring and autumn.
At the heart of the Village and at the highest vantage point will be a central park, designed for people to share the magnificent views and beauty of the surroundings, enjoy a picnic or barbecue on a fine day or hold community events.
Bingara Gorge Project Director Paul Gerlach said the larger land size with lots set on the hillside to take advantage of the views lent themselves to spacious family homes with beautifully landscaped gardens.
“In time Highlands will rival the magnificent parks and gardens that are such a feature of the nearby townships of Bowral and Robertson,” said Mr Gerlach.
“The future park will be the place where people go simply because it makes them feel good to be there. You can imagine it in autumn with the leaves a brilliant flash of red, orange and yellow and then in spring with the trees in full blossom and colourful annuals popping up their heads.”
At the entry points to the Village there are plans for clusters of deciduous trees, signature Cyprus hedgerows, planted verges and cottage blooms, creating a brilliant spectacle for decades to come.
“We are expecting a very high level of interest particularly as they have so many special attributes,” said Mr Gerlach. “Not only is the landscaping going to be magnificent but the views are unbeatable. Some will have beautiful vistas towards the Razorback Mountains while others take in the 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th fairways of the golf course.”
Titles are expected to be issued in April/May 2012 so a delayed settlement is one of the benefits of this new land release. The first land release has home sites ranging from 800sqm – 1200sqm.
