BINGARA GORGE DISHES UP ITS OWN CELEBRITY CHEF MOMENT

He cooked up a storm in the first MasterChef series, now Lucas Parsons is bringing his culinary talents to the Bingara Gorge "Live the Life" Festival on Sunday, November 14. The former pro-golfer turned cafe owner will be holding his own three-hour Masterclass at the Bingara Gorge amphitheatre from 1pm, passing on the knowledge that he.s accumulated since quitting the greens for cuisine. Visitors can catch a few cooking tips, sample his creations and take home a free recipe card to inspire their own Sunday night dinner.

With the spectacular success of Junior MasterChef, this is an event the whole family will want to enjoy, along with the many other family entertainment activities planned for Bingara Gorge.

The Masterclass is just part of an activity-packed two-week festival to highlight the many lifestyle offerings of Bingara Gorge that centre around healthy living, golf, education and recreation. The Official Opening of the Golf Course Viewing Tower is on Saturday November 13, officiated by internationally acclaimed golf course designer Graham Marsh. The 9.5 metre timber and steel tower offers a bird.s eye view of the 18-hole championship course, revealing its layout, holes and spectacular ravine and bushland views.

All things golf will be played out on Saturday with a mini putting green for the kids and a practice hole where older golfers can compete in a nearest the pin competition to win a barbecue valued at $599. The South West Academy of Sport will also be at hand with instructors and assistants providing advice to competitors to improve their stroke.

Bingara Gorge Project Director Paul Gerlach said the presence of Graham Marsh and Lucas Parsons at the weekend 'Live the Life' festival combined two of life.s great pleasures.

"Golf and food . it.s the perfect combination for a great weekend," said Mr Gerlach. "In many ways it's the recipe for living at Bingara Gorge, enhanced by spectacular open spaces that provide the perfect backdrop for alfresco dining and living. Lucas will demonstrate how to get the best out of home dining and entertaining, and with Graham Marsh we are building the best golf course in the region."

Bingara Gorge is a lifestyle community located at Wilton, just a few minutes drive from historic Picton and 60 minutes drive south-west of the CBD.
